Energy Efficient Conservatories

Channel Glazing energy-efficient conservatories

More than just an extra room for your home...

Our aim is to provide conservatories and orangeries that will enhance your home, keeping you comfortable in winter and with improved ventilation in the summer. When you choose a Channel Glazing conservatory or orangery you do more than add another room to your home. Technology for conservatories is advancing fast largely due to the ever increasing demands for more energy efficient glazing.

Here’s how a carefully chosen conservatory help you keep cash in your pocket – with the added bonus of a good feeling from being eco-friendly.

Conservatory windows & doors

Channel Glazing are proud to be Channel Glazing Select Installers for Sussex and as you’d expect, the uPVC double-glazed windows and doors in your new conservatory are supplied from Channel Glazing with the latest energy-rated gas-filled window systems – with BFRC ratings from a highly-commendable ‘C’ to the top ‘A’ rating. With home fuel prices set to keep rising, it makes sense to fight back with the latest technology and make home improvements that will help keep each gas and electric bill lower.

From 1 October 2010 all windows must have a Thermal Transmittance (U Value) of 1.6 W/m2.K or lower (i.e. Window Energy Rating ‘C’ or higher); doors must have a value of 1.8 W/m2.K. Look out for the reassuring BFRC energy efficiency labels on your Channel Glazing conservatory.

Smart conservatory roof design

Forget old fashioned polycarbonate roofs. Your new conservatory roof can be supplied with environment-enhancing speciality glazing such as the following:

  • Energy-efficient Low-E insulating glass
  • High insulating glass
  • Self-cleaning conservatory roof glass
  • Tinted solar control glass

As well as giving a better view than polycarbonate, our conservatory glazing gives improved solar control for a more comfortable living environment. Our energy efficient glass roofs are also quieter than polycarbonate when it rains or hails – and self-cleaning glass is much safer for hard-to-reach conservatory roofs.

Excellent U rating and more...

What features and benefits will be most important for your conservatory? Choosing the right energy-efficient conservatory means more than just achieving an excellent U rating. Style and practicality matter too, so your Channel Glazing conservatory from Channel Glazing will complement your family’s lifestyle perfectly.

For great ideas and up-to-date technical information when choosing your conservatory, there’s no substitute for a knowledgeable expert. Let Channel Glazing create a great environment for you and your family.
